About Us

After many years of working for construction and asphalting companies,’ old school friends Roy Kersey and Trevor Whayman decided they would like to combine their expertise and start their own business.

After approximately two years Roy and Trevor were joined by Roy’s elder brother Chris (alias Bill) who became the third director of Ker-way. Chris and Roy have been working together for most of their adult life; Chris also went to school with Trevor, now the team was complete.

In the early days the main focus was on the building side where upon Ker-way were responsible for the construction of some local village halls and also some housing and renovation schemes. During this time Ker-way won a ‘Highly Commended Award’ for a local building and renovation project.

Over a period of time our focus moved away from building to mainly groundworks and this has now become our core business. However we do still take on building works, all be it on a smaller scale than in the early days.

All Ker-way employees have undertaken Health, Safety and Environment training; we are also trained in Highway and Street Works and are on the Suffolk County Council list of approved contractors. Ker-way work throughout Suffolk for both domestic and commercial clients from small jobs to large projects.
